I finished this about 2 weeks ago, but I hadn't gotten 'round to making a picture and posting it.
So this is Ash (or Red of Blue.) I added Ash's sprite in the corner instead of a badge.
And here's little ash up close and personal.
I almost finished the black stitches on Koga.

January 2011 TUSAL
So I entered the Tusal-thingy (link).
I was supposed to post this on January 4th, but I just heard of this 2 days ago. So I bought a candy jar. I don't have a lot of leftovers, but I'm working on it.
So here it is! I placed it on my bookshelf, in front of some of my favorite books.
The thick glass kinda distorts the picture, but I needed a sturdy jar. I have a tendency to drop and break things, I think it's less breakable.

Zelda-ish pillow
I made my gf a spritepillow for christmas. She's a big fairy-fan. And I'm a zelda-fan, so I took the sprite of the fairy mother from link to the past and tailored it to my gf's needs.
For example, she thought the wings were to angelic, so I made butterfly wings and I changed the colours because she really like silver and blue. And I added a row of pixels in the middle of the sprite, so I could add a necklace and a flower crown.
Here is a picture of the original sprite on the left and on the right my version.
And here is the final product.

So then I bought a cloth of silver cotton and painted the sprite with fabric-paint. It took me about 13 hours to paint it. And afterwards, I had to make a pillow and because it was my first time on a sewing machine, that also took me a couple of hours.
A picture before I made the pillow
And here is the final product.
My sister asked for a dragonite sprite pillow. I hope that one doesn't take me 15 hours to make as well =)
Update
I have to start updating regularly in stead of posting 3 posts at once.
Anyways. Like I said in my last post, I was stitching frames. But I ran into a snag along the way.
The cloth wasn't cut straight, so the tenth frame, won't fit under the ninth one. So I won't be able to make one big rectangle of squares, which is sad.
This is probably a good example of why newbies have to start of small. I'd never occurred to me to check the straightness of my cloth.
But I digress.
I decided to stop after the eight frame. Now I can make the first 80 frames (without having to count stitches) and then I'll decide what to do. I think it's best to cut the cloth in half, because moving the tenth frame 30 stitches to the right won't be a pretty sight...
So here's a picture of the whole cloth. (And part of my cow-clock)
And a close up of serge. I never liked serge, maybe because my pikachu wasn't very useful.
I made a mistake while stitching his face, so his face is disfigured. But I guess you can't tell anything's wrong if you don't know how it should look.
I'm also trying to figure out how to change the colours of my blog, but I can't seem to figure it out. =(
